LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) – UPDATE: In updated Nielsen estimates released late Friday, ABC’s dramas all pick up a tenth: “Grey’s Anatomy” (3.1/11 in 18-49, 10.14 million viewers overall), “Scandal” (3.9/11 in 18-49, 12.16 million viewers overall) and “How to Get Away With Murder” (3.9/12 in 18-49, 14.34 million viewers overall).

Ferguson police’s media training session titled ‘Feeding the Animals’

The St. Louis County Police Academy is offering a workshop beginning in October titled “Officer-Involved Shooting- You Can Win With the Media.” The workshop references the shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a white police officer on Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Missouri, and the ensuing riots and protests. Rather than deal with the circumstances surrounding the protests, the workshop instead focuses specifically on the how the police can control their image in the media. The workshop states that there will be numerous video clips to illustrate key points of how police can present a better image to the media. Continue reading
