Missy received the nod alongside Mariah Carey, The Eurythmics, and Mike Love of The Beach Boys, among others. If Elliott is to be elected, she will become the third ever rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, joining JAY-Z, and Jermaine Dupri.
