4 Winter Health Tips

1. Enjoy seasonal vegetables and fruit. Onions, asparagus, winter squash, cabbage.  Grapefruit, kiwifruit, mandarins and oranges are all delicious and in season over winter. –  citrus fruits have phytochemicals, whose antioxidant powers may help fight disease. All winter vegetables are low in calories and have zero fat.
 
2. Take time for tea– Tea, especially green tea, is often said to be good for your health. Tea contains substances linked to lower the risk for heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.  Tea is high in antioxidants; antioxidants can help slow down aging and help your cells to regenerate and repair.

4.  Get active indoors– If you have stairs in your building or home, you can improve your cardio strength while being inside.  You can do a full body workout in your living room as well.  Any exercises you don’t know, just google.    Repeat 3x      Pushups (20 reps)    Plank (60 seconds)   Burpees (15 reps)   Squats (20 reps) Mountain climbers (30 reps) Jump Squats (10 reps) Crunches (20 reps)
