5 Good Songs from 5 Artists You May or May Not Heard of

Music video director Ribo over at MNR Films put me on to this song by Chicago rapper Doughboy. He directed the video for Doughboy’s song titled ‘Breakfast.’ It is the perfect “wake and bake” song for Hip Hop heads trying to start day on the right foot.

I’m not sure how this became one of my favorite songs to listen to this year. But I bumped the “The L word” by Milwaukee emcee Signif for about a week straight. This song actually puts a smile on my face. I liked the beat, rhymes and content.

Keith Middleton has made a name for himself by performing in the stage play of ‘Stomp’ since 1995. But the Brooklyn artist also dropped a spoken word album called ‘Transitions’ this year that was pretty dope. You can check out my album review of ‘Transitions’ here and also view the standout song on that album called “Feels Good.” I think this is something that the people who are tired of today’s Hip Hop can listen to.
