Today organizers will gather across California to protest the sky high rent prices in California. Activists will gather separately in Oakland, Sacramento and Los Angeles to try and reverse the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act. That housing act allows landlords to arbitrarily raise the rent on any housing unit built after 1995. The protests in Los Angeles will be in the morning at City Hall. The protest in Oakland will be at noon at Frank H. Ogawa plaza. While the Sacramento protest will be at noon at the California State Capitol . To read more about this story click here.
