I would rank his concert behind The Roots, KRS-ONE and Common has the best Hip Hop performers that I have seen. Speaking of all-time rankings, where would you put T.I at on your list of best emcees of all time? I wrote an article titled the five most underrated rappers of all time and I put TIP on the list. One of my reasons for including him in that category was that some people sometimes separate him from other all time elite emcees. I occasionally hear people, whether intentional or not put him as one of the best from the South as opposed to one of the best in general.
Following his performance, I wonder would I include him in the top ten list? My top ten so far, (in no particular order) is 2Pac, Biggie, Rakim, LL Cool J, Nas, Ice Cube, KRS-ONE, Scarface, and Jay-Z. You may notice that there is only nine artists. Would I include T.I in that list; I don’t know. That is another topic for another article. Primarily I just wanted to point out that he might belong there.
Of course there are other candidates that I would consider. Would I put him ahead of Melle Mel, Lil Wayne, Redman or Common? What about Kanye, Drake or Kendrick Lamar? That would be tough choice that I would consider at a later date. However, I’m interested in what you think. Based on my list and the remaining pool of other emcees, who would you pick?
