Aladdin has now surpassed the rest of Will Smith movies as the highest grossing film to date. Will Smith went on Instagram last week and thanked his fans for his latest accomplishment. “This is a post that I’m humbled and honored to make right now,” he stated. “Today, ‘Aladdin’ just passed ‘Independence Day’ as the highest-grossing film of my entire career. And to be in this game as long as I’ve been in this game and to have my biggest movie at this point in my career, I just want to say thank you.” Aladdin is still behind ‘Suicide Squad’ that earned $325.1 million in the United States in 2016. However, worldwide Aladdin has made $874.2 million, surpassing Smith’s 1996 “Independence Day” film which made $817.4 million. To read more about this story click here.
