Album Review: Fabolous and Jadakiss: ‘Friday on Elm Street’

What I preferred was the straight, uncut to the gut, fire bars from the two emcees. The ‘F vs. J Intro’ was hot. The part where the beat switched up and Jada comes in and raps is so mean. The song ‘Ground Up’ is dope. So is ‘Soul Food’; in fact ‘Soul Food,’ might be the best song on the album. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that they should went through the whole album just rapping with no hooks. I thought they should had more songs like ‘Nightmares Ain’t Bad and ‘I Pray’ featuring Swizz Beatz.

Overall, my feelings on this album coincided with the way it was constructed. Half of  it was made for the relevancy and the other half for artistry. Thus, I only liked half of the album. Out of the 12 tracks, I probably was feeling about 6 or 7 of them. The lyrics were sharp all throughout the whole album. Just didn’t like all the beats and song concepts. With that said, I give Fabolous and Jadakiss album Friday on Elm Street a C+. I posted the album stream below. Listen to it and let me know what you think.
