Album Review: Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues

It was also a welcome surprise to hear a verse from the late Sean Price, who is featured on the song Pearl Harbor. Mathematics beats on the album are nice but not great. Which is a good way to sum the album up as a whole. From a group that has been so innovative and fresh, you just expect more. In the beginning, RZA’s beats weren’t just great, they were revolutionary and different. Outside of that, it was kind of disappointing not hearing more features from all of the members of the group. There were heavy doses of Method Man but not enough balance amongst all of the emcees. That was another element of the group that made it good, and that was the diversity of the voices. I also felt the content could have been more mature and personal. With older artists and the fans who grew up on them; we want to share their journey with them. This is why people gravitated to JAY-Z’s 4:44 album. Overall I give WU Tang: The Saga continues a C on my grade board. It was a solid album and fans of the group should be happy that they are still putting out music. Although it is not a classic, there are some good vibes to the album.
