NEW YORK— Apple is saying no to the government again.
In a filing in federal court late Friday, the computer maker said federal law-enforcement officials have not exhausted means to extract data from an iPhone in a New York criminal case. The refusal follows the Department of Justice’s one-page letter filed last week in New York federal court seeking Apple’s help in “accessing the data” on an iPhone linked to a convicted methamphetamine trafficker in Brooklyn.
