Are all calories created Equal?

 No!!!  All Calories are different and have a different affect on the body.  Everyone knows that eating less food equates to less calories and ideally that will equate to weight loss.  Thus many individual in my family (who don’t train with me) go on “starvation diets”, where they only drink liquids for a period of time and end up weighing less.  This is perceived weight loss because most of those people will put the weight back on as soon as they start back eating solid food.  This brings us to the age old question, “Is a calorie a calorie or does it matter what we eat?”   A calorie is just a calorie (unit of energy) but it’s more complex than that, and what you eat does matter to your overall weight loss and how your body functions.
