Ariano Interview with Blacktruth.net

Southern California rapper Ariano has taken a stand against conforming in the music industry. His new song and video “Ride On” is intended as a message for those people looking to change his style. “I feel like we are in the era of trying to fit in. I felt like if I was going to do a so-called trap project I wasn’t going to speak about Molly or turning up. I was going to speak about standing up for what you believe in and not chasing dumbed-down content.” said Ariano. Check out his interview with Blacktruth.net.

How do you think you’re received at large as a white rapper today versus maybe ten years ago? Is there a difference you can feel?

I feel hip-hop is definitely more dimensional in general over the past five to ten years. I think it is easier to be from different backgrounds in hip-hop definitely. For me, I have never focused on my race or my background. I just focused on the music.
