Arne Duncan joins peace march in Chicago

Every Friday, members of Saint Sabina Church take their anti-violence message to the street.  Duncan joined the march and talked about the same issue that plagued the city when he was the head of Chicago Public Schools – violence – and the role education can play in stopping it.

City treasurer Kurt Summers, Senate Candidate Andrea Zopp and Ariel Investments CEO John Rogers also participated in tonight’s peace march.

On Wednesday, the city logged the most deadly shootings in one day in more than a decade.

It’s a milestone father Michael Pfleger calls “unacceptable.”

He added he hopes this long holiday weekend won’t end with another double digit murder toll.
