Last weekend local Chicago artists and community activists came together in Franklin Park on Chicago’s West Side. The gathering was to bring awareness to autism in the community. In addition to that, the function allowed family and friends to come together and enjoy each other company. The event featured activities, games, and food for the children. Followed by a basketball game by artists and radio personalities from around the city. The event featured music, entertainment, and education. It needed relief from the violence and negative vibes surrounding the city. For a brief moment on a sunny warm day, there was a safe haven where people could enjoy a good time with family and friends with no violence. On top of that, it was for a good cause.  To find out more information about autism go to the Autism Society. org @ http://www.autism-society.org/get-involved/national-autism-awareness-month/
