On October 5th, Bill Cosby’s legal team filed a motion to get another trial for the imprisoned comedian. The defense motion was filed in Pennsylvania state court and cites errors made from the judge presiding over the trial and retrial. Judge Steven O’Neil was accused of “impartiality” in the trial and remove himself from the sentencing of Cosby. The defense team also claims that the tape used as evidence from five women in the case was “not authentic.” “The defendant, William H. Cosby, Jr., moves this Court for a new trial in the interest of justice, or at least for reconsideration and modification of the sentence imposed on September 25, 2018,” the motion stated. According to Deadline, the District Attorney will respond to the motion within five days.
