Black Truth News Interview with Young Chop

Before the rise of Chief Keef, Chicago didn’t have a distinctive identity within the Hip Hop community. Yes, there were legendary veterans like Twista and Common who help put the city on the map. Yes, we had a superstar in Kanye West. However, it wasn’t until Chief Keef came on the scene that we had a representation that was linked to our city in Hip Hop.

The man who gave the sound to Keef’s breakout singles ‘I Don’t Like’ and ‘I Love Sosa’ was Young Chop. The 26-year old producer can be credited with giving the world the sound of the Chicago streets. I got a chance to talk with the South Side native in his new area Atlanta about his future plans and his positive outlook on life. Check out the interview below.
