Breast Cancer Prevention Tips

October is breast cancer awareness month.  Most of the time, breast cancer begins with cells in the milk-producing ducts. But it can also begin in the glandular tissue called lobules, or in other cells within the breast. White women are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than African-American women. However, in women under 45, breast cancer is more common in African-American women than white women. Overall, African-American women are more likely to die of breast cancer. The risk of developing and dying from breast cancer is lowest in Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women. Breast cancer risk is higher among women whose close blood relatives have this disease.  I want everyone to keep in mind most people weigh, eat, and exercise the same as close relatives and friends.  A recent study on obesity revealed that if one of your close friends becomes obese, you’re 57% more likely to do the same.  Why?  The people we see tend to set our standard for what’s appropriate.  About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.  There are some things one can do to reduce their chances of having Breast Cancer here is a CF4L List:
