Brock Lesnar Better Off in WWE and Not Back in UFC

Lesnar is currently making a great deal of money to wrestle maybe 4-5 times a year, appear on television periodically, be booked as complete monster badass every single time he’s on TV, and he doesn’t have to talk pretty much at all because of Paul Heyman‘s masterful ability to be Lesnar’s on-air mouthpiece. And people believe he’s going to give all that up to go back to getting his ass kicked by the likes of Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos?

Today’s UFC heavyweight division is a different beast than the one Lesnar competed in during his brief career. Mir is almost retired, Shane Carwin pretty much is retired, Randy Couture is retired, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is in the twilight of his career. Lesnar has already been beaten up once by Velasquez, and today’s Velasquez is even better than that one. Lesnar never faced dos Santos, but even back when Lesnar was fighting it likely would’ve been an ugly fight for Lesnar. After that there’s the rest of the field with Fabricio Werdum, Roy Nelson, Mark Hunt, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, Josh Barnett, and Travis Browne.

In all seriousness, how good could a guy with issues involving diverticulitis, who didn’t fight a great deal during his career, and who has been out of the sport for two years and counting compete in this division, no matter how big and mean and strong?

I will not be able to believe that Lesnar is going back to MMA until I see the press conference with him signing a contract with Dana White. Though I guess never say never for a Lesnar return in 2015. The fight game has demonstrated many times before that it can be that crazy.
