California may have just pioneered the way for the right-to-die law to start cropping up for votes in other states as the California Assembly approved this bill in a 43-34 vote. While it is not the first state to pass this law, California has been a groundbreaking state for many other issues in the past and people who advocate for this bill are hoping this issue will also follow suit.
