Calvin’s Undisputed Truth: Slavery Instituted By God Not the White Man

The Famine Hits Egypt

While Joseph was a slave in Egypt he went to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He gathered fame because he was able to interpret people’s dreams. However it was God that did the interpretation; Joseph was just the vessel he put in that place to use. Don’t forget now that he is a slave in prison. What could be worse than that?

Eventually God takes Joseph from the gutter of prison to the palace of Egypt. He is summoned to interpret the Pharaoh of Egypt’s dream. He told Pharaoh that there would be seven years of plenty and seven years of famine. For this interpretation he was made ruler of Egypt.

“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, For as much as God hath shewed thee all this; there is none as discreet and wise as thou art. Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all people be ruled, only in the throne will I be greater than thou.  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, see I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.” (Genesis 41:39-41)

God orchestrated slavery for the good of Israel. The story of Joseph clearly illustrates this; but let’s examine it some more, so you can get a better understanding.
