Calvin’s Undisputed Truth: “Tattoos and Piercing’s”

“If any man defile the temple of God him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy” (Corinthians I 3:17)

How can you actually pay someone to cut on you? Then some people take it to another level. Women put tattoos on their private parts like breast; booty and bellow the waist. The men put them around their chest and genitals. Just ink everywhere we should call them ink spots. God said we should not cut in our flesh.

“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead; nor print any marks upon you; I am the Lord” (Leviticus 19:28)

Is there a correlation between the ritual tattoos of the ancient times and the “body art” of today? What biblical principles apply to deciding whether a Christian should get A tattoo or not? These practices were related to the morning of the dead. Any kind of self-laceration or marking of the body was prohibited among the Hebrew people. Such cuttings were associated with pagan cults that tattooed their followers while they mourned the dead.

“What know ye not that your body is the temple of Holy Ghost which is in you; which ye have of God; and ye are not your own. For ye are brought with A price; therefore glorify God in your body; and spirit; which are God’s.” (Corinthians I 6:19-20)
