Cash Money Entertainment founders Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams are giving back to their hometown of New Orleans in a big way. The two brothers are donating $225,000 dollars to Forward Together New Orleans.
The nonprofit organization’s aim is to help New Orleans residents in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Birdman and Slim’s donation will go specifically to help assist with the rent of residences during the month of June.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell who is part of the initiative went on Twitter to thank the duo.
.@mayorcantrell sends a big THANK YOU to @CashMoney for their generous donation through her Mayor’s Fund non-profit to pay June rent for hundreds of residents in the Harmony Oaks, Marrero Commons, and Guste scattered sites. Tenants will be notified directly if they qualify. #nola pic.twitter.com/BOG5xFyl1W
