The bad news just keeps on coming in 2020. This time it comes from the Hollywood world and the tragic news that actor Chadwick Boseman has passed away. The actor who played the leading role of the blockbuster movie ‘Black Panther’ was 43.

The amazing thing about his life was that he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016. During the four years from that revelation, he became a superstar. He acted in the aforementioned Black Panther, but also completed nine more films from 2016 until his death. nd his portrayal of Jackie Robinson. He then went on to portray other iconic Black men in other movies such as James Brown in ‘Get Up’ and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall.

Although he is probably best known as the superhero T’Challa in Black Panther, he was a true hero in real life. In a time where people share so much of their personal life to the whole world, Bose remained silent about his bout with cancer.

That is an incredible thing to not only to keep up with your craft while battling an ill disease but to excel at it. I just want to thank him for showing the example of strength and excellence. May he rest in peace. Salute Black Panther, a real-life superhero.
