I’m not sure if that is his first or last name or even if I’m spelling right. What I do know is that Atkins is the owner/operator of this McDonald’s restaurant. The publicist for the Black McDonald’s Owners Association (BMOA) invited me out to cover the restaurants re-opening and back to school supply giveaway.
Atkins is part of the BMOA and owns nine McDonald locations throughout the city of Chicago. His restaurants are located in predominately Black neighborhoods and we talked about that. We also discussed why it is important to give back to those communities.
