Earlier this month the entertainment world suffered a big loss when Anthony “AJ” Johnson passed away. The actor/comedian died on September 6th in Los Angeles at the age of 56. Following his passing, his widow set up a GoFundMe page to help with his funeral costs. Initially, Lexis Jones Mason only received $1,100 dollars in donations. But after Mason made a public plea about the lack of support, people came to her aid.
Celebrities such as Michael Blackson, Lil Rel, and Offset stepped up and donated to his account. Blackson was the first celeb to help out. The comedian not only contributed $10,000 dollars but also urge others to help out.
Mason originally set out to raise $20,000 dollars, but the account has raised more than $70,000 dollars. To read more about this story click here.
