I opened up Facebook one early morning recently, as I normally do while preparing for my ritual 5A morning run, and discovered a post from a well-intentioned well-meaning friend that made me a little angry. This friend shared a post about a litany of things that single Black women should do to make themselves more desirable. Needless to say, as a single Black woman, all I could do was sigh, run, and shrug it off, but the truth is, I felt assaulted.
