Gangster Disciple co-founder Larry Hoover has been locked up since 1973. The controversial figure was convicted of the murder of a 19-year-old named William “Pooky” Young. While he was locked up, he was hit with additional charges of conspiracy, extortion and money laundering. In 1997, he was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to six life sentences.
