Did Reggae Singer steal this American Emcee’s Song?

The rapper says that she recorded her song in 2008, as a party song.

“‘In my cup’ was a catchphrase used with my friends and so I thought it would be cool as a song, so I wrote it,” she said.According to the rapper, she came to Jamaica to do promotions, and played the song in a club at Ochi Rios and that’s when Richie Loop must have got the idea.”Initially, the DJs were playing my song, and when I returned to Jamaica I started to hear his My Cupp instead of mine and that was 2010, so I asked a DJ who is that and he said Richie Loop,” she said. She continued “I was so angry because I worked so hard to promote my song and somebody took it and promoted it like it was his,” she told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Flawless Da Rap Chick says that she asked other people to listen to both songs and they agreed that they were far too similar. “I wasn’t going to do nothing about it but when I went back to New York, people started to contact me saying somebody stole my song,” she said.
