EPMD Interview with Blacktruth.net

imageRiding around the South Loop of Chicago looking for a park is a hard task in itself. But when there are three nightclubs along with a rap concert going on simultaneously; the task is impossible. I had to stalk a guy walking to his car, put pressure on him to leave, and then confiscate his park. Getting out at around 12:30 am; I got the sense the concert was over. I became quite certain that the guy, who gave me his park, had just come from the concert I was going to. As I was approaching the venue; I saw some fellas standing at the back entrance with some EPMD shirts on. Then I saw some photographers snapping pictures. Then I saw Erik Sermon and Parrish Smith! I was smiling like Denzel Washington in Training Day; my nigga.

Although the two were on their way to their vehicles; they took the time to answer a couple of questions for Blacktruth.net.

Blacktruth.net: Can we expect anything new from you guys this year?

Erik Sermon: I got something new coming out in 2015, a new mixtape; also me, and Parrish working on something new for 2015.

BTN: Erik, this is my second time catching you in Chicago. How do you feel about the city?

ES: I’m always in Chicago. I got people I know here and I feel the vibe here.

BTN: Parrish, the legend. How are things going for you?

Parrish: Everything good. Showing Chicago some love.
