In my haste to get to the EPMD concert in Chicago; one thing was stuck in my head. It was a quote from Phife Dawg of the group A Tribe Called Quest. In the song “Clap Your Hands” off the Midnight Marauders album, he says “The worst thing in the world is a sucka mc/ Favorite rap group in the world is EPMD/ Can’t forget De La, the two originality. And if I ever went solo, my favorite emcee would be.”
