Speaking to foreign ambassadors and and tourism executives in Malacanang Palace Thursday, the president said CAAP has made significant progress in addressing the safety concerns of the Union.
“The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines or CAAP has also been working long nights to allow carriers to offer direct flights from the Philippines to Europe and to more destinations in the United States. Today, I am pleased to announce that they have made stunning progress,” the President said in his speech during the event.
The Philippines is currently upgrading the facilities and technical capabilities of major international as well as domestic airports in compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety standards.
