Your new EP documents ‘80s Southside Chicago. What do you think was so special about that time?

The drug laws in the ‘80s by far. They were completely unjust, racist, and discriminatory. Because of this, I think the ‘80s were the most defining and profound years of African American history. Most gang leaders were given close to, or life sentences. This stripped our neighborhoods of order and organization. A fatherless home and community are at the core of our problems.
