rousey president 2The undefeated UFC champion, 28, has said that she is supporting Vermont’s senator Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination and the White House.

Rousey told Maxim that she voted for comedian Roseanne Barr for president in 2012, and is supporting the democratic socialist this election because he does not take corporate money for his campaign.

‘If he doesn’t win against Hillary [Clinton], then I’ll probably vote for a third party again,’ Rousey said in an interview.

‘To be honest, in 2012 I was against both candidates and so I just picked any third party because I thought if more people voted for third parties then they’d have to take third parties seriously’.

Rousey said that she voted for Roseanne in 2012 because she was at the polls for local and state elections and wanted to pick among the third parties for president.

The former sitcom star ran on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket and got around 50,000 votes nationwide after appearing on the ballot in three states including California, Rousey’s home state.rousey president 3

Rousey is a huge favorite for her upcoming fight, but hopes that Sanders can pull off an upset over the front-runner Clinton.

‘I’m really pulling for Sanders this time. I hope it works out,’ she said.

The MMA champion, who has risen the ranks of celebrity after her string of wins, will face off against bantamweight opponent Holly Holm in Australia, the same day her candidate debates Clinton in Iowa.

Republican candidate Donald Trump had previously said that Rousey likes him, though the fighter criticized the businessman’s campaign earlier this year.

‘I just really wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country, that’s all,’ she told CNN.

‘I’m not really going to get into specifics of it, but, I mean, I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country’.
