Earlier today, the university tweeted: “Please avoid Campbell Hall until we hear more information.
“We received an emergency alert of shots fired in Campbell Hall.”
Last month 17 pupils were massacred at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Florida.
Ex-pupil Nikolas Cruz has been charged with their murder.
Earlier this week a teacher was arrested following reports of a shooting Dalton High School, Georgia.
“The shooting was on my floor. This morning my friend Gabby told me you don’t really understand the need for reform until you’re worried your friends are f***ing dead.
“She is right.”
