In almost every video where he is present, you can see this guy wildly swinging his baton at the protestors. In one video you can see him hitting a Black woman until a man step in between him and her. His actions were so reckless that it made shocked, upset and then sad. It was so pathetic to see him just trying to hurt his own people who were obviously frustrated by the actions of his co-workers. I understand he has a job to do, but it would have been more civilized to show some humanity. Ice Cube had a famous line in a song, in which he said “Black cop trying to show out for the White cop.” That line seemed like it applied to officer during these protests. Instead of trying to deescalate the incident, his violence only made people more angry. I post some of the footage below so you can check out yourself.
