McGhee wrestled under the name DT Porter in the WWE developmental territory. He made his professional wrestling debut in 2006 after a stint in the Navy. McGhee, 29, also wrestled on the independent scene, holding titles in High Voltage Wrestling, Mid-Missouri Wrestling Alliance and the Lethal Wrestling Alliance.
McGhee left the WWE in 2012, after two years with the company.
The day of the incident, McGhee changed his Facebook photo to show him and a woman in what looked like a happy moment. Seven hours later, he changed his photo to show a deep bloody slash on his arm.
After the alleged stabbing, McGhee led deputies on a chase that ended with an auto accident that left him in the hospital. When McGhee is released from the hospital, criminal charges will be filed against the former wrestler.
The victim in the incident was 25-year-old Bianca McGaughey. The police report stated that she received numerous stab wounds and died at the scene of the crime.
