In an inrterview with XXL, Menace, the producer of Desiigner’s hit song “Panda” said that Future and producer Mike Dean had sued for copyright infringement. “There was a situation with Future putting [an infringement] claim in because apparently, he said that ‘Panda’ sounded like “Fuck Up Some Commas,” he said. Menace also went on to say that Mike Dean was trying to say “he did something to the beat and he never did.”

As a result of the lawsuits, Menace said he hasn’t got any money from the song. However, Future sent out a statement saying that he didn’t put out a claim against the song. And Mike Dean wrote a letter about the situation and told the Menace to “put some respek on my name.” Dean said the song “would never have come out or cleared legal at Def Jam,” if wasn’t for his work on the song. “The kid lost the stems to the beat. It had some samples in the original from a film. I recreated some of the stems enough to patch up the beat and remove the samples.” Mike Dean explained. No statement has been given from Menace after the response from Future and Mike Dean was published. To read more about this story click here.
