Google has reportedly removed a racist joke from their search database involving Atlanta’s public transportation system. The acronym MARTA which stands for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority was replaced with Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta, when a Google search for the meaning was typed in. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Google has removed the joke and released a statement via their spokesperson Crystal Dahlen. “Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We’ve looked into it and acted quickly to address the issue,” she said. To read more about this story click here.
