Leroy of Market Street Promotions in Chicago is 2015’s first feature for our Grind Corner section. Most clubgoers probably don’t recognize Leroy by name, but most likely have seen the dude with a hat and a smile distributing fliers at almost every event in the city.
You know your hustle is mean when you are considered the top hustler in your field. By all accounts, Leroy is the person you want to get if you are in Chicago and need a one-man gang street promoter. Furthermore, he was selected because of his dedication, and humility.
We caught up with him after a concert doing what he does. Our brief exchange highlights the way Leroy handles the drunk and profane antics of partygoers. Watch the video below. Unfortunately, I’m the drunk and profane one asking questions.
