Gunman in Aurora Illinois Kills Five People During Shooting Spree Was Upset about Losing his Job

Yesterday (02.15.19)  a gunman in Aurora Illinois went on a shooting spree at a manufacturing warehouse that killed five people. Aurora Police Chief Kristen Ziman identified the gunman as 45-year-old Gary Martin. Multiple 911 calls started to come in at 1:24 pm reporting the shooting at  Henry Pratt Company warehouse. Ziman recently was fired from the warehouse job after 15 years. Martin’s mother told the Chicago Sun-Times that he was upset over losing his job. “He was way too stressed out,” she said.

Not only did the gunman killed five people, but he also injured seven during the shooting. Five of those injured were police officers who responded to the initial calls at the building. President Trump sent out a tweet that praised the law enforcement officials and send condolences to the victims. “America is with you,” he tweeted. To read more about this story click here.
