HBO & Showtime work together to make the Manny Pacquiao & Floyd Mayweather fight

His statement regarding the issue has become one of the hottest topics just minutes after it posted online, in fact, his statement was also discussed by Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless, two brilliant anchors of First Take, their program on ESPN. That was almost three days ago, but now, Bob Arum is singing a different tune. In an interview with GMA News on Tues., Nov. 18, 2014, the veteran boxing promoter almost confirmed that the mega fight between the two greatest fighters of in this generation will happen.

According to him; the giant networks, HBO and Showtime are now discussing the idea of working together like what they did in the past. “The networks are now already talking. I am now more optimistic that the fight is going to happen than I was three or four years ago. I am talking to responsible people who are in touch with the Mayweather guys. All of these people have the ability to move it ahead and make it happen,” Bob Arum said.

Aside from his confirmation that the giant networks HBO and Showtime are now discussing the issue; Bob also revealed that he is eyeing the Cowboys Stadium as the possible venue for the rumored mega fight between the two great fighters because of its capacity to host a big show. “If it happens, we’re considering the Cowboys Stadium. It is the only venue which has the capacity to host a big show such as the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight,” Arum ended.
