History of Police Lies and Deceit makes it Hard to Believe anything they say in the Breonna Taylor case

Once they arrived at Breonna’s house, the cops knocked, even though they had a no-knock warrant. Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, who was one of the four officers on the scene stated that Taylor’s apartment was considered a “soft target.” “They said they did not believe she had children or animals, but they weren’t sure,” said Mattingly.

Eleven people who reside at the complex said they heard the officers pounding on the door, but didn’t hear them say they were the police. This was also the story that Breonna’s boyfriend Kenny Walker stated after the incident. Since the cops did not identify themselves, Walker grabbed his gun and walked towards the door. When the cops rushed in, Walker fired a shot that caught Mattingly in the leg. The police returned multiple shots that ultimately killed Breonna Taylor.

Walker, who is a licensed gun owner was not convicted of shooting at the police, even though his shot was the justification for the police killing Taylor.  If the police were “justified to protect themselves;” why wasn’t Walker charged with any crime? Why did the police department feel a need to pay Breonna Taylor’s family 12 million dollars, if the shooting was justified?

Those are just some of the questions in this case that don’t make sense. Even if you have sensible answers to those questions, the history of police officers killing Black People for no reason makes any story that they give shaky at best. The lies, deceit, and total disregard to provide justice in this case, only adds to a long list of other cases of Blacks that were murdered by the police.
