This is so sad on so many levels. The audio tapes of the killing of Charleena Lyles has been released by the Seattle Police Department. Lyles, 30 called the police to report a burglary and when they showed up that’s when things went bad. The officers said that Lyles answered the door with a knife in her hand and reacted by killing her. At the time of her death, Lyles was pregnant and had three other children. “Why couldn’t they have tased her?” her sister Monika Williams asked in an interview with KOMONews.
