Capers, a Hales Franciscan graduate, is one of several NBA refs who read tweets about them.

Capers also read a tweet from @jjbryant_tf that said: “So glad I found out that this @OfficialNBARefs twitter page exists, I’ll be harassing them for the rest of my days on this planet.”

“That’s pretty good. I like that one,” Capers said.

NBA officials Nick Buchert and Marc Davis also live in Chicago, according to the NBA Officials Roster. Veteran NBA official Danny Crawford is a Chicago native and Northeastern Illinois graduate who lives in suburban Naperville.
