If You Can Make A Hot Beat, Serato Might Give You $10,000

The worldwide contest requires very little to enter: producers must use Serato’s Sample plugin, as featured in our Rhythm Roulette with DJ Dahi, to make a beat, then upload a video of the beat to social media with the hashtag #seratosamplechallenge and tag the caption as @seratosample. Each video submission has to be less than a minute long and clearly show the Sample plugin in use.

“We’ve kept the brief really simple to see how creative producers can get with Serato Sample and a camera in under a minute,” says Scotty Hoogerbrug, Chief Marketing Officer at Serato, in a press release.

“Our new music production plugin already has a strong, diverse community of Sample users posting their beats online,” he continues. “So we wanted to show our support and encourage people to keep sharing their work with the world.”

Submissions are open from now until January 16, 2018. The top 10 entires will be voted on every day and the more a videos is shared, the higher the chances are that it will be in the top 10. After the final date, Kenny Dope, Suzi Analogue, and DJ Spinna will serve as special guest judges and  select the final winner for the grand cash prize.
