Inspirational Chicago Artist Cupcakke Talks About Her Influence and How She Wants to Open Up an Homeless Shelter

20-year-old Chicago artist Cupcakke had a talk with Rolling Stone about her career and what inspired her to turn from a church poet into a rapper who makes sexual songs.  “One day, I was listening to ‘My Neck, My Back’ by Khia and… I was like ‘Oh yeah, I’m gonna write something that’s sexual to get it out.” That transition has turned her into a successful recording artist and an inspiration to other people.  She has used her influence to try and help other people. After spending a part of her youth in a homeless shelter, she wants to help those in need. “That could be the last 99 cents in their pocket to pay for your single. If they are able to give you that and tweet you to say ‘I’m homeless’ or ‘I need money for school,’ you should be able to give it back.'” To read more about this story click here.
