What’s your beat selection process? Do you have producers you prefer to work with?
I prefer working with Nobody famous, Beat Godz, and Ace King when it comes to beats. Famous and I are about 95% on creating bangers when we collab. Life long lasting music. He brings out the best in me. Beat Godz is the hardest working producer I know. He never stops, always improving, and never fails to impress me. Ace King challenges me. He knows exactly what I like in my beats and most times when he presents it to me, he has recorded the chorus and sometimes even a verse. He’s the sword I sharpen my sword with. This does not exclude anyone because I’m always open to collaborate with anyone if they are dope at what they do.
You’re very active around Atlanta. What do you think about the state of the city’s scene right now?
The underground scene is popping. Not a fan of what’s being portrayed on the TV/radio. Atlanta has always produced some of the best and some of the worst artists to ever make it mainstream. Right now, most of the dopeness is underground.
If there’s one famous beat this year you would have swiped from the artist who ended up putting it out, which one would it be and why?
I would’ve taken Migos’ “Say Sum”. Why?…self-explanatory, the beat is craazzyyy! Shout out to the Honorable .NOT.E.
What have you sacrificed for your career?
I’ve sacrificed thousands of dollars, time, being written up at work, no sleep, free shows, etc. The list goes on. I have given my all into the music and still giving it all. Music is my therapy, a relaxation, my escape, a way for me to express my thoughts and feelings. It’s not about the fame or change, it’s about the love, I am music, so as long as i have breath in my lungs I will continue to create.
