Black Truth News: Can you introduce yourself to the people who may not know who you are?
Sadat X: My name is Sadat X member of Brand Nubians. I’m out here in Chicago with my people’s Coalmine Music and Grant Parks; we out here mastering the album and I am just glad to be here. You know twenty years in the game plus, and still trying to keep it going.
Black Truth News: What’s the name of the new album?
Sadat X: The new album is going to be called” Love, Hell or Right.”
Black Truth News: What can people like me, who are accustomed with your Brand Nubians and your solo work, expect? How is it different form the stuff you did and how is it the same?
Sadat X: I think it’s going to be pretty much the same. You know still got the beats going; I’m still trying to teach a message. I don’t criticize no rap, no rappers; or some of the young boys coming up; because they going do what the young boys do, and as you young boy, you grow to be a man. I did the exact the same thing. My stuff is a little; I say more adult orientated, for people that pay bills, for people who got children and got to pay tuition and stuff like that; you know grown man music.
