Interview with Wu-Tang Clan: Talks about Of Mics and Men Documentary and Lifelong Brotherhood

Before arriving at the event, I knew I wanted to interview the group; more specifically Method Man. He is not only my favorite member of the group but at one point, he was my favorite rapper; period. I knew before the show started, that this wasn’t going to be an easy task. For one, it is difficult to get all members in one place at the same time. There are eight original members, one honorary member in Cappadonna, and YDB, who has picked up the torch from his dad Ol’ Dirty Bastard (R.I.P).

So that’s ten people, who are a unit, but move separately that you are trying to catch and interview. On top of that, Method Man is the undeniable star of the group. He commands the most attention and media coverage out of everyone.

In the previous article, I talked about the anticipation and excitement that surrounded their performance. This was huge, it was billed as the Wu-Tang Clan 25th year reunion.  That energy not only was amongst the fans but also carried over to the security and event organizers. The security had a rule that the media could not go back and forth from the front of the stage to the back of the stage. That rule became more strict before the Wu-Tang performance and the Atlanta police arrived to make sure it was enforced.
