Iraq Declares Dec. 10th a “Holiday” after U.S led Coalition Helps Them Defeat Islamic State

With the support of U.S troops, Iraq declared victory over ISIS on Saturday and announced that they have “completed liberated” their land.  Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi  said December 10th will be a holiday that would be celebrated every year in their country to honor the victory. “Honorable Iraqis: your land has been completely liberated. The dream of liberation is now a reality,”  Abadi said in a televised speech. Brett McGurk, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy to the coalition who assisted in the victory congratulated the Prime Minister. “We congratulate the Prime Minister and all the Iraqi people on this significant achievement, which many thought impossible,” he tweeted out.
